Server Side Stories

I have a new podcast about my work as a web developer.

Test, 1, 2, 1, 2. Can you hear me?
The microphone is correctly positioned, phantom power is on, let me dust off the pop filter one more time, and then we’re ready to go.

Welcome to Server Side Stories.

This is how our new podcast always starts—at least for now, because we still need to find our rhythm a bit. We, that’s Mark and me. After his blog, I forced motivated Mark to start a podcast with me.

If you know me a little, you know I’m a big fan of podcasts. Not only do I listen to countless podcasts myself, but I’ve also ventured into creating some of my own. I started with elbrauschen back in 2005, and now there’s Server Side Stories, a podcast about our work as developers.

The topics are meant to be diverse and delivered in a relaxed manner. We’re still working on the latter. So far, I’ve always sat in front of the microphone alone, but now there’s someone next to me who hears every slip of the tongue and brain freeze—overcoming the initial hesitation that comes with that was a challenge.

We’re working on it, and I think we’re already getting better.

The first episodes are already online and can be subscribed to wherever podcasts are available. If not, please let me know.

We recorded the first episodes together, but we’ve already got a list of guests we’d love to have on the podcast. That’s something we’ll tackle next year.

Of course, I’d be thrilled to have you as a subscriber. We’ve already talked about our work on Mark’s Kirby blog and will go into more detail about our Kirby dev setup next year. So, it might be of particular interest to my readers here. Maybe we’ll see—or hear—each other.

Here’s the link to the podcast (oh and it's in German btw):
