AI
The /ai 'manifesto'
This page is based on an idea by Damola Morenikeji. AI is used as a general term for AI and LLMs.
Texts
All texts on this website and in my newsletter are written by me – without AI. This website exists, among other reasons, because I enjoy the writing process and because writing helps me organize and develop my thoughts. I want to share my thoughts and knowledge with others on this website; not the result of a language model.
Corrections
I try to write without errors. Especially with long texts or when my head is already foggy, this doesn't always work as I wish. That's why I use LanguageTool for grammar and style checking. I don't know to what extent AI is used there, but I wouldn't rule it out.
Translations
Texts on this website appear in two languages. In most cases, the German texts are the originals. When translating, I use AI as assistance. I have local AI models running that translate my texts at least partially. Rarely do I take over a translation 1:1, often it serves as a basis, is paraphrased by me, and then checked again with LanguageTool.
Without this AI support, it would be barely feasible for me to publish texts in two languages.
Images
This site occasionally features AI-generated illustrations. This is an attempt to find an alternative to the ever-same stock photos. I am aware that these image generators (as well as text LLMs) are based on stolen data. My current website design is therefore designed to work without images. Ideally, I would be able to create illustrations myself. I'm still undecided about the whole generated image thing.
Transparency
Texts translated with the help of AI are always marked as such:

For generated illustrations, I will come up with a similar marking in the future, should I still use them.
