Surf looks really promising. Could reduce the hurdle to join the Fediverse for people, who are not so tech savvy. I'm excited, I signed up for the beta straight away, let's see how that works.

Preferred Language Just pushed out the release. You can now set your preferred language and the IndieConnector will use this language instead of your default language. This way you can - like me - post to Mastodon in english even though your default language in Kirby is German.

Working on some language features Working on some nice features for multilanguage sites that also affect the IndieConnector. This allows you to control which language is posted to Mastodon and Bluesky without having to change the language in the panel.

In the studio Those were four intense days that lie behind me. We were in a recording studio in Hamburg and recorded our new songs there. That was cool, but exhausting — on the first day alone, we recorded six songs and spent nine hours working on it. I've learned a lot about Logic, gathered even more impressions and am now pretty tired, but satisfied. I'll certainly write more about all that as soon as anything is available to hear.

10 Million users Bluesky has recently surpassed 10 million users, a milestone likely because of all the new users from Brazil. I must have joined pretty early on. I don't know if this "achievement" is one to celebrate, but it did leave me with a sense of mild astonishment.

www.manton.org I find MicroPub to be an extremely practical tool. Unfortunately, the support from the tools I use isn't that wide spread. The is a Kirby plugin, but the developement stalled quite some time now, and I must confess that my concern is that relying on such an extension might ultimately compromise the security of one's CMS. IA Writer does support MicroPub, which I think is fantastic; however, they are pretty alone with that.
Maybe MicroPub would be a suitable addition to the IndieConnector plugin?

Login with Mastodon So I would like to add a "Login with Mastodon" functionality to some of tools/sites and I am wrapping my head around the topic for some time now.
I see it elsewhere, brid.gy for example does this, so it's possible. But the thing is, it's a decentral network, (luckily) there is no central instance managing everything. And for what I can see, I need Client IDs and secrets in order to provide such a Login. But this I would need on every instance (as I also read here: https://charmed.blog/how-to-add-login-with-mastodon-using-nodejs/).
Is there any other possibility? I will try to figure out how elk.zone etc. does this. Creating app credentials on every platform wouldn't work and I do not want to support only some of them. 🤔
Do you how to do this, is there another way? Am I blind?

www.youtube.com A great conversation between Matt Mullweg (WordPress/Automattic) and Tim Ferriss.
